What is the history of Sleighframes?

Sleighframes is a concept that we think will be well received when it is released for sale to the buying public during the 2008 Holiday shopping season for the first time. It is the result of a four year journey of a family venture and was designed in order to give people one more unique expression for celebration during this festive time of year. Because this is a season and not just a Holiday, we believe that people will be able to easily justify the decision to make a small investment in order to display their excitement and passion in these special weeks.

How long will these units stay lit?

Obviously that will depend on the user, but we have tested our unit in order to determine just that. This unit stayed lit continuously for over SIX (6) days and there was approximately an anticipated 20% decrease in brightness each day. That’s more than 140 hours! We think that most people will activate these only on certain times during the season and if they are turned off, the batteries, in most cases, should last the entire time. If not, replacement batteries detailed in our Product Info section, are readily available and easily installed to enjoy additional use. Most local retailers carry this popular size and they are very inexpensive over the internet.

Can Sleighframes be attached to the license plate of all vehicles?

Due to their unique design, Sleighframes can only be fastened to vehicle license plates through a preformed hole in the top of our frame. A study was preformed on a cross-section of vehicles, and approximately 93% of those observed (1000) were compatible with this hole design. We believe that it is the obligation of the purchasing party to determine whether or not our product will be able to be installed on their specific vehicle.

Are Sleighframes legal for display in all states?

License plate frame laws vary in the individual states and many are subject to change periodically. We are aware that “illuminated frames” are not legal for display in the states of Washington, Mississippi and Indiana and we do not attempt to market our products in those states. There are also several states whose rear license plate design is not compatible with our frames and their installation will cover, or partially cover, the state DMV registration tags.

Although, as stated above, our frame design may not be an acceptable fit for some state’s rear plate designs due to registration tag coverage, they SHOULD BE ACCEPTABLE FOR USE and are equally as decorative ON THE VEHICLE’S FRONT LICENSE PLATE. It is the responsibility of the salesperson and the retailer to determine the legality for use in any particular state and is the responsibility of the vehicle operator to comply with the license plate laws of their particular state. PSP Designs will not be held responsible for the unlawful use of this product in any state or any repercussion of doing so.

Who will retail Sleighframes?

We believe that Sleighframes are not stand alone sales items, but will be a terrific complement to an existing business and will realize their fullest potential in those venues. We visualize them in Car Washes, Convenience Stores and Markets, Tires Stores, Auto Parts Stores, in Malls with Kiosk Vendors and Christmas Only Shops and on Christmas Tree Lots. We think that Auto Dealerships will purchase them for showroom floor and promotional purposes. We think too that they would be a fresh product idea for school clubs and organizations to sell for fund raising events. We also believe that they will be very hot items for Swap Meet and Flea Market vendors across the nation.

We’d like to think that any business that would like to take advantage of realizing a very attractive profit range in a short, seasonal buying frenzy would have an interest in Sleighframes. The small town, small store owner should see these as an opportunity to make a substantial profit for a small investment. This would include Beauty shops, Postal mailing stations, local liquor stores, Mom and Pop Grocery Stores, Bowling Centers and Pet Shops.

They are attractive, novel, self-explanatory and affordable. They can be used personally as well as for gifts. They are easy to install, convenient to operate and can be used in future seasons. The four unique designs should appeal to a very large percentage of our population.

In reality, any business can display and sell this product and various types of establishments should be contacted.

How much will Sleighframes retail for?

Obviously that would be determined by the business, but our feeling is that retailers will attempt to initiate their asking price between $10 and $16 depending on the location and marketplace. This range should satisfy any merchant’s anticipated margin of profit. Even at the appealing trade standard sales price of $9.99 for lobby sales, Sleighframes will yield a very good profit percentage. Because we are able to keep our manufacturing cost low overseas, we can charge what we feel is value pricing on a unique item and be able to allow the retailer the opportunity of a very good profit percentage. We hope that keeping our own profits lower will also assist sales reps in volume sales. These items can always be easily discounted at the end of the season and the business will still be able to make a profit or, because they are not perishables, can be stored for resale in 2009.
